Kedah Records RM30.98 Billion in Foreign Direct Investment for Q1 2024
ALOR SETAR: Kedah has emerged as the top destination for manufacturing Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Malaysia for the first quarter of 2024, recording RM30.98 billion in approved investments.
The surge is largely driven by major multinational expansions in the Kulim Hi-Tech Park (KHTP) semiconductor and advanced manufacturing sectors. The state's E10 Express Construction Permit initiative has been cited by investors as a key factor in accelerating deployment timelines.
As a core member of SG4, Kedah's success serves as an anchor for the region's Trade, Investment & Industry cluster.
